Upma Rava
Foxtail Upma
Old Fashioned Oatmeal
- 1 cup water or milk
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons milk for serving
- 1 to 2 teaspoons honey, cane sugar or brown sugar for serving
- Pinch of cinnamon
Preparation
- Combine water (or milk) and salt in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Stir in oats and reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
